Mentoring Session on  “Lean Start-up & Minimum Viable Product/Business

The student council of Information Technology in association with CSI had organized mentoring session on , “Lean Start-up & Minimum Viable Product/ Business” on 5th September 2023. Mr. Prashant Sadavarte, MD at Technovision Automation Private Ltd, Mumbai, was the speaker for the session. Students got awareness about the importance of Lean Start-up & Minimum Viable Product/Business. Understood the problems, solutions, Reasons for failure of Start up and Success Features of Entrepreneurship

Workshop on “Internet of things”

The student council of Information Technology in association with CSI had organized 1 day workshop on , “Internet of Things” on 28th July 2023. Mr. Suhas Parab, Commercial Embedded & IoT/ Web Based Project Developer, from  i-Tech Global Solutions, Mumbai. had started the workshop on fundamentals of IoT and also conducted hands-on session on Arduino IDE

Workshop on “IPR and Patenting”

The Information Technology Department in association with IIC and CSI had organized a one day workshop on “IPR and Patenting” for students and faculties on 26th July, 2023. The speaker of the workshop was Dr. Asha Durafe Assistant Professor, Cyber Security Department, Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Mumbai.  It was a very interactive session in which our students and faculties gained  knowledge regarding Intellectual Property Rights and Patenting.

 Project Competition

The student council of Information Technology had organized project competition on 18th April 2023. Dr. Jayaprabha Terdale and Dr. Manjusha Deshmukh was the judge. Honorable Principal Dr. V. N. Pawar sir also visited and guided our students. Project from various domains like IoT, AIML, Blockchain technology are part of the competition

Orientation program on, “Microsoft Certification”

The student council of Information Technology in association with CloudThat had organized 1 day orientation program on , “Microsoft Certification” on 16th February 2023. Mr. Sukamal Jyoti Das, who is  Microsoft certified trainer and subject matter expert at CloudThat had started the orientation with fundamentals of cloud computing, cloud platform, job opportunities in cloud computing. He also  addressed our students regarding certification courses for cloud computing.

“DevCraft”

The student council of Information Technology had organized 5 day’s workshop, “DevCraft ” from 30th January to 3rd February 2023. Where Mr. Faiz Malkani, Head Of Product and Design , RIPL conducted the hands-on sessions  on “UI/UX”, Mr. Smit Khakhkhar, Co-Founder and cto ,Coin Crunch conducted the hands-on sessions on “Cyber Security”. Mr. Ali Mustufa, Developer Advocate ,Postman, Mr. Nikhil Aparajit, Community Head, Lumos Labs and Mr. Ganesh Tiwari, DevOps Engineer, Netherminds had addressed our students on recent trends in IT.

Webinar on “Systematic Approach for publishing Research Papers, Indexing and Citations

Information Technology department, along with CSI organised free webinar on “Systematic Approach for publishing Research Papers, Indexing and Citations”  on Wednesday, 7th December, 2022 at 3:00 PM  to 4:00 PM. Webinar was conducted by Dr. A.V. Senthil Kumar, Director. Department of MCA,  Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Workshop on “AI & ML”

CSI student council  information technology department organised a workshop on AI & ML on 20th October 2022 in collaboration with Aptech Training Institution Kharghar branch. The speaker Mr. Pankaj Pawar ( M.Tech. IIT Madras), elaborated, starting from building a machine learning-focused strategy and progressing into model training, optimization.   Also with respect to AI he  described  how  machines that mimic and display “human” cognitive skills that are associated with the human mind, such as “learning” and “problem-solving”.

Workshop on “R-Pi”

“R-Pi Workshop” a  one day hands on  Raspberry pi was organised by  Information Technology Department CSI student council on 13th october 2022.  Mr. Spandan Ghosh and Akshay Patil, students of BE IT class conducted the workshop. From basics to various project building were covered in the session. Total 40 students  gained knowledge out of this activity.

Seminar on “Elastic Search”

The student council of Information Technology had organised a seminar on “Elastic Search” by Ashish Tiwari (Senior Developer Advocate).on 16th September 2022. Students learnt about basics of elastic search, elastic search stacks and use-cases of elastic search. Students had also created a dashboard using ‘Kibana’. Total 95 students including faculties attended the seminar.

“Technological Mindset”

Student council of Information Technology organised a seminar on   “Technological Mindset”  by Dr. Dinesh Gupta ( Anaandshree) on 8th September 2022. Speaker is mindset coach, spiritual corporate trainer, ted circles speaker, limca book of record holder, the official participant of guinness world records. director – amazing indian records & omg book of records    Dr. Gupta discussed a set of attitudes and behaviors that enable student to setting the mindset for future technology. Total 165 students including faculties attended the seminar

Workshop on “Ether”

The student council of Information Technology had organised 5 day’s workshop on “Ether” from 18th July to 22nd July 2022 by Ashish Tiwari (Senior Developer Advocate). He had delivered a speech on blockchain development & career opportunities in web3.. He had conducted hands-on sessions on Web 3.0 and Web 2.0, DAO, Defi, dApp and creating Wallets. He had discussed web development & its  learning paths.

Workshop on IoT

Internet of Things is about embedding intelligence to make things smarter & do more than they were proposed to do. IoT Workshop was taken by Geeks LAB in association with AIESEC, IIT Delhi on 6th and 7th Oct 2017.

Workshop on Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing Workshop was conducted on 22nd Sept 2017 for BE students. The workshop aimed to provide an introduction and live demo of   Virtualization, VMware, Citrix and Private Cloud. It was organized by CSI council in association with SICT.

Seminar on Career Guidance 

Seminar on Career Guidance was conducted  on 19th Sept 2017. Experts shared the ideas about  how students can use their classroom learning, extracurricular activities and internships to get good jobs in industry and also develop a better understanding of their interests and make decisions about next steps based on their evolving motivations.

Seminar on Cyber Security

Seminar on cyber security  was conducted on 6th September 2017. Mr. Vijay Chaudhari and his team guided students by showing various practical demo of network attacks and vulnerabilities and their consequences. He also shared simple guidelines which help users to remain safe and secure in the virtual world.

Seminar on IoT: Open source hardware, software and its role in IoT

IoT is about connecting sensors,actuators, and devices to a network and enabling the collection, exchange, and analysis of generated information. Introductory seminar on IoT was given by Mr. Sachin Shukla on 4th september 2017 for TE and BE students. He explained Open source hardware, software and its role in IoT.

Scilab Training Program

Scilab is an open source scientific software package for numerical computations. It has an extremely reliable and efficiently coded numerical library. CSI Council of IT department organized free workshop on Scilab in collaboration with IIT Bombay on 11th August 2017 for TE and BE students.

Seminar on Career Counseling

Career Counseling seminar was organized on 28th July 2017 for BE students. It was aimed to provide job options for students after Graduation, preparation guide for MBA and education in Foreign university. Students got to learn importance of Planning, Decision Making, Critical Thinking and Time Management for better career prospects.
